The Olympic Handball Final
The Olympic Handball final was epic. The weather was perfect and the atmosphere was electric. There were parents siblings and all the other teams cheering on the finalists. (well some kids were doing handstands and cartwheels on the sideline, cheerleading I guess!!). The green team- lead by Darragh O'Brien, his sister Clodagh O'Brien, Anna Butler and Cara Van Rensburg (we had to stop Attracta trying to influence the refs..) and Aidan Kenny. Whilst the non bibs were led by Isabelle Hickey, Sara Prendergast, Ella Fitzgerald, Noah Martin and the two brothers-
It was neck and neck, point for point in the first half. Donal Molloy a very able ref was not listening to the pressure from the sidelines (Attracta) or the teams, he was holding his nerve and playing really fair.
